To assist Calypso participants wishing to complete Iron Challenge missions before the mission rewards rebalancing takes effect, the following temporary creature spawns have been created and will be active until May 21, 2012:
Rippersnapper - East of Fort Zeus (87200, 96900 Eudoria)
Foul - Land Area 6 (31400 x 34000 Amethera)
After which time two different mission creatures will be spawned in those areas. This procedure will be continued every two weeks until the Planet Partner release scheduled for August 21, 2012.
The exclusive hunting event for inactive participants was a resounding success: More than one thousand eager hunters accepted the invitation!

The Calypso Defense Force reports significant robot reinforcements arriving at Zychion Citadel and Solfais Crater over the past 24 hours. Additional breaches at Nate Valley and Wolverine Hope have now also been confirmed, placing the Amethera portion of the teleporter infrastructure at serious risk.
Colonial militia forces have been ordered to redouble their defense efforts while CDF engineers work frantically to find a way to secure the planetary teleporter network.

SETTLEMENT UPDATE
Fort Isis has been constructed in the swamp west of Chug’s Hideout.
Fort Cayuze has been constructed in the ocean south of Cayuze.
Admiral Herman Ahab at Fort Cayuze is overrun by Leviathan and calls to skilled hunters to help him with this challenge.
Caperon have been spotted on Calypso. Colonists are warned to approach with caution.
Silver Argonaut challenge has been added.
FIXED ISSUES
Medusa apartment owners can now place items on the ground.
Fort Victoria has been added to the CDF list of compromised teleporter nodes. Disappointing news, since the combined CDF and colonial militia forces had seemed to effectively contain the robot invasion to a small portion of Calypso's teleporters for the past several days.
Further analysis of the classified military documents obtained by EBN two days ago reveals that several members of the Wastelander insurgent group have planned a meeting with Harbinger robots at the Calypso Oil Rig early tomorrow evening. Bounties have been offered by CDF Intelligence for all confirmed kills of Wastelander rebels.
CDF's special liason to milita forces, Major Ushakov, has issued a priority alert. Intelligence concerning the location of one of the robot technologies desparately being sought by the RDI has become available.
CDF Intelligence operatives lost track of a Wastelander insurgent confirmed to be carrying one Robot Power Transformer. The Wastelander's last known location was in the vicinity of a crashed robot spaceship. All CDF tracking signals were then lost when the individual entered the ship, apparently due to robot electromagnetic interference. CDF experts were unable to confirm to which of the Akbal Sectors the Robot Power Transformer was transported.
Available colonist militia teams are requested to investigate all accessible Akbal Sectors and recover the Robot Power Transformer as quickly as possible.
The invaders from Akbal-Cimi have ramped up the assault on Calypso with fearsomely powerful robot invaders now wreaking havoc in Zychion Citadel. Brig. General de Souza was quoted in an official CDF press release saying "We need all the firepower we can possibly mobilize to combat the heavily armored robots assaulting Zychion."
EBN has also received classified military documents from an anonymous source that mention a clandestine Wastelander rendezvous suspected to take place in approximately three days.
CDF Intelligence reports both good news -- the robot infiltration of the Fort Pandora teleporter node has been repelled -- and bad news -- a new infiltration has erupted at the Solfaris Crater teleporter.
The Research & Defense Institute is offering rewards for recovered robot technology. RDI representatives will be available to collect samples and issue rewards on May 26-27.

Claire Jameson, spokesperson for CDF Intelligence has only moments ago confirmed independent reports that the robot infiltration of the Calypso teleporter network has spread to Fort Troy.
Ms. Jameson also reported that two CDF Intelligence agents were killed in action by a group of Wastelander insurgents a short time before robots appeared at Fort Troy. The two deceased agents were part of an undercover mission charged with monitoring Calypso's teleporter infrastructure, in hopes of discovering just how the robots have defeated the security protocols so effortlessly.
